For long-lasting pleasure during the preparation of green smoothies, you need a high-quality blender. We regularly test all new blender releases and have already tested several blenders for their suitability for preparing green smoothies.

Here we present our favorites, which we recommend based on our experience.

Criteria for the selection:

  1. Fiber-free and creaminess of the (green) smoothie blade tip speed is key (faster=better)
  2. Robust workmanship for daily use
  3. Availability of accessories and spare parts - We want long lasting sustainable products

  • The Vitamix E310 is the inexpensive entry into the Vitamix world and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of its application possibilities. The container is compact and handy, handling is very simple. The E310 enjoys a lot of sympathy in our team, because it is reduced to the most important features and got rid of all comfort features in favor of an attractive price. All this with the usual performance and workmanship of Vitamix.

  • The Vitamix E320 is essentially the Pro 750 in a lighter version. It can almost match the Pro 750 in terms of its ability to blend so finely and smoothly, like no other device. In addition, it has eliminated everything that can be dispensed with: fancy aesthetics and timed programs. The motor power is also slightly weaker. What remains is a Vitamix blender that is almost as good as the best one and is significantly more affordable.

  • ... singles and families, who value quality that has stood the test of time and who like to try their hand at cooking in a variety of ways.

The Vitamix Total Nutrition Center 5200 convinces with an aromatic-creamy mixing result for smoothies and is also perfectly suitable for all other preparations. Due to the narrow container shape, both small portions from 250 ml and large quantities up to 2 liters are possible without any problems. In addition, the container is also excellent for more solid consistencies, such as ice cream, nut puree, etc., the tamper reaches perfectly into the corners, which makes it easier to tamp during the blending process. Maximum functionality combined with timeless design, which has remained almost unchanged since 1993.

It is the only Blender we recommend that still got analog control that responds immediately, which also delights professional chefs.

  • The Vitamix TNC 5200 is the absolute classic among high-performance blenders. It has proven itself over many years and is regularly used in the catering industry as well as by many nutrition experts. With 250 km/h under load, it ranked 3rd, behind the newer Vitamix models Pro 300 and Pro 750, in our speed test. For us, this means it achieves the perfect balance between being a pure smoothie blender and an all-purpose blender. In terms of versatility, no blender can beat it. The price/performance ratio of the TNC 5200 is very good, if you use the blender for a variety of purposes and love creamy smoothies.

After all, you can not only blend with the Vitamix TNC 5200, but much more: chop, grind, puree, make ice. The included container is already fully equipped. Due to the narrow shape, small and large portions can both be prepared easily.

The TNC 5200 is a high-quality device that is absolutely robust and reliable in use. This is also reflected in the 7-year warranty, which includes the container and all parts.

The manual operation works intuitively and steplessly. Due to its low initial speed, even the preparation of coarse pesto succeeds without any problems.

In any case, the Vitamix TNC 5200 is an excellent choice for long-lasting blending pleasure that convinces with intuitive usability, versatility and robustness.

  • ... all, who appreciate the creamiest blending result and a high-quality appearance at a relatively low volume. The Vitamix Pro 750 meets all requirements. Extended blades and a optimised container design make previously unattainable fine and homogeneously smoothies and soups possible.Added to this is a well thought-out handling concept that gives the user free choice to either use one of the 5 time programs or manual control. The housing does not allow fingerprints, thanks to no-touch coating. The low-profile container also allows the Pro 750 to fit under any kitchen cabinet (height: 44 cm). Considering the immense performance, it remains relatively quiet. For liquid preparations under 500 ml, the additional purchase of the Vitamix 1.4 Liter Container is recommended, these containers cannot produce quite as creamy smoothies, but can be used from 250 ml.

  • The Vitamix Pro 750 holds the speed record in our test. It reaches about 300 km/h under load, which you can taste especially in green smoothies. No other blender, we have tested, is capable of making raspberry seeds so fine. The Pro 750 is the è"Crème de la Crème"è. One reason for that: vegan soups become so creamy - you could swear cream was added.

It also holds the record when it comes to the noise level. It is the quietest Vitamix.

In addition, it has 5 very thought through time programs, including a cleaning program. The blender's workmanship meets the highest standards and pleases haptically and visually. The heart of the blender, the container, enables convenient filling, blending without a tamper, and quick cleaning. Thanks to its low profile and wide opening, Sinks that are not particularly deep are not a problem either.

The total package is rounded off by the 7-year Vitamix full warranty, which also includes parts such as the container.

  • ... the most demanding among us. Maximum safety standards, attractive appearance, 10-year warranty. That's all you can do? - Oh, no, the Vitamix A3500i also makes the creamiest smoothies, as you already know from its sister model Pro 750. However, if you want to prepare smaller portions that are thick, you'll be better off with the Pro 750, as there is no 1.4-liter container for the A3500i. (Status: 12/2021)

  • The Vitamix A3500i is Vitamix's ambitious attempt to integrate blending into the digital world. It comes with innovative improvements that are new to the industry. The blender can only be activated when the container lid is closed. Containers are dishwasher safe. 10-year warranty means a maximum of € 90 per year usage cost. In daily use, the cost is also quickly reached with the regular wear and tear of mid-range blenders. With the Vitamix service we know from experience: You can rely on it! However, the technical innovations also come at a price: no more haptic feedback due to the touch panel. That is not everyone's cup of tea, even if the touch panel responds quickly and reliably.

Unfortunately, the "1.4-liter container", which we consider the most important additional container, is not available, which is why we currently recommend the Vitamix Pro 750 (as of 12/2021).

Thanks to its soundproof cover, no one will hear a thing. Granted: That's a bit of an exaggeration, but the sound reduction is impressive. One reason why it is popular at the counter or in open kitchens. For people who are sensitive to noise and appreciate a very finely pureed smoothie, it is also always on the short list.

  • ... singles, young and old, as well as families, the Wartmann blender allows you to work with small portions from 250 ml, as well as large portions up to 2 liters (Standard) or 1.4 liters (Compact). Thanks to its easy handling, anyone can work with the Wartmann. The consistency of the mixing result is impressively fine and cool. In the price segment below €400, the Wartmann blender is one of our absolute favorites!

  • The Wartmann blender is very easy to handle, can work with portions between 250 ml and 2 liters (Standard) or 1.4 liters (Compact), it also delivers excellent blending results. The overall package is even more impressive when you take a closer look: At under 1 kg, the container is very light. The reason for that is the comparatively thin material, which also allows the heat to evade. Smoothies stay cool during the blending process, hardly any other blender keeps smoothies cool for such a long time. The lid is easy to close and locks into place. A lot of attention to detail, we would have guessed the Wartmann to be priced over €400...

  • small households, small kitchens or for traveling, users who value a fine smoothie consistency and a wide range of applications as well as compact and fancy design, that is put together with high quality workmanship. The Bianco di Puro Attivo is the space saver among the high speed blenders.

  • The Bianco di Puro Attivo - the slimmest high speed blender in our store. It takes up relatively little space and can be easily stowed when needed. 4 color variations and Bianco-di-Puro-typical appearance make it hard to stow him away, though smaller kitchens will be grateful. In terms of performance the Attivo can't quite come up to its big brother "Originale". If you are particularly keen on creaminess, you can achieve a similarly fine consistency by blending for 2 minutes in the 1-liter container. However, a longer blending time will lead to a slight rise of temperature, which can be counteracted by replacing water with ice cubes.

Unlike the larger models, the Bianco di Puro Attivo requires the blade base to be unscrewed for cleaning after each blending process. This prevents anything from sticking to the thread. The blade base can be cleaned very easily, therefore the Attivo is unbeatable in the overall package.

The Primo S is the first blender that is both very good and also smaller than 45 cm in height. It is also the first blender designed specifically for making green smoothies. The device can make any type of blended drink, but its specialty is clearly (green) smoothies!

The Primo S is as easy as can be to use. It is operated via a handy jog dial with 10 speed levels.

  • In technical terms, the Primo S leaves a very strong impression. Its large blade diameter puts it in first place among the Bianco di Puro blenders in our speed test with 248 km/h and thus closes the gap to the Vitamix models in terms of performance for green smoothies.

Additional advantage: The lowest speed level starts at 1,500 revolutions. This level is great for starting the blending processes slowly when desired. Especially for chunky preparations, such as ice cream, pestos, dips and hummus, which can be easily prepared with the optionally available Uno container, low speed is optimal.

What's more, the Primo S is significantly smaller in height than most high-performance blenders. Therefore, it fits easily under any wall cabinet.

The Primo S is a high-performance blender that meets all the expectations that can be placed on a smoothie blender of this class. And it does so at an excellent price. For the first time, the Primo S is a compact and affordable high-performance blender that we can recommend without reservation!

I have an older Vitamix TNC with the 2-liter container.
Does this container also fit on the new Vitamix E 320?
One of the knobs on my old Vitamix broke off, so I can no longer operate it.
Thank you for your response.

I have now rented the Vitamix E310 for only 1 month because I find it quite expensive for what it offers. However, it is significantly better in one aspect than any blender I have seen so far: It creates a relatively firm ice cream texture with frozen fruits and ice cubes. The other blenders produce much more liquid results and the mixture "warms up" faster.
Are Vitamix unbeatable in this regard? Or is it simply a matter of how the models are operated?
However, the Vitamix is simply poorly made. The lid and control elements are a joke in my opinion for €500. There are models for €100 that are more stylish and better made!
I really don't want to have a Vitamix product after testing the E310 because the price-performance ratio simply isn't right.
Ideally, I would like a blender that achieves similar results to the Vitamix and can produce a similar ice cream texture, preferably even with a glass container. Why don't you offer blenders with glass containers?
And which blender (besides Vitamix) can create the firmest ice cream texture from frozen fruits?

Thank you for your response, Carla
Best regards

Hello Andrea,

Indeed, the heat development is very low in all Vitamix models, except maybe for the S30. However, in this performance class, there are currently no glass containers available, despite high demand.

As for more affordable alternatives to the E310, especially when it comes to ice, the Wartmann Blender could be interesting. It also has a comparable low heat development like the Vitamix models and is overall a highly recommended alternative. When purchasing the Wartmann Blender, you can choose between a 1.4-liter container and a 2-liter container. The 2-liter container, similar to Vitamix, is better suited for ice because the tamper gets closer to the blades due to the container's shape. This allows you to push the (ice) mixture closer to the blades.

I hope I could help you!

Best regards,
Carla

Hello dear team,
I am actually interested in the Primo S by Bianco, but I cannot find it on the Bianco di puro website as a model. Instead, there is a model called Puro S (visually different).
Is the Primo S no longer offered/produced by the manufacturer?
Can you also tell me something about the Puro S model? I cannot find it on your website.

Thank you very much and kind regards,
Björn

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hi Björn,

Thank you for the question.

The Primo S is not listed on the manufacturer's website because we exclusively distribute it. That's all. It was also never sold directly by the manufacturer.

The Puro S is a model from the mid-price range at Bianco di Puro. At a certain point, we decided to focus on the products where the manufacturer excels. From our perspective, these are the entry-level segment (Primo S) and the high-end segment with the DC brushless motors (Gusto, etc.).

Best regards,

Carla

I came across your comparison and I am particularly interested in the Wartmann Mixer! Someone in my circle of friends already has this mixer.

However, I mainly want to use the mixer to blend frozen fruits and ice cubes. And in doing so, the mixer becomes extremely loud for my friend when preparing such things.
You state that the mixer is only 83 dB loud, but it is quite different for my friend. It can be quite loud with a shrill and really exhausting sound (very high-frequency tone).

I have also seen many tests of the significantly more expensive Vitamix A3500i. In comparison, it is much more pleasant in terms of noise level than the Wartmann Mixer and also delivers excellent results. Ice cubes are no problem for it, and it achieves an excellent consistency.

Is it true that, as I perceive it, the differences between the Wartmann and the Vitamix are so significant, both in terms of noise level and performance?

I am actually looking for an affordable option with which I can easily blend frozen fruits, ice cubes, and everything else. I want to replace my old Braun mixer with this mixer, which can blend frozen fruits but struggles a bit. However, the Braun completely fails with ice cubes, as it cannot achieve a good consistency.

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Andrea,

thank you for your comment and your questions.
The Wartmann Blender is not necessarily louder than other high-speed blenders, but you are right that it does produce a high-frequency tone that can be unpleasant. With the Noise Cancelling Pad - Revo2Pads, you can effectively control this shrill sound. It would definitely be a recommended accessory for your friend or for yourself if you still decide to go for the Wartmann Blender. It is excellent for blending frozen fruits and ice cubes, where the difference to Vitamix blenders would be negligible. The performance difference becomes more noticeable when preparing green smoothies, especially with fibrous leafy greens. In that aspect, the Vitamix A3500i is ahead within the Vitamix range.

However, for blending frozen fruits and ice cubes, you wouldn't necessarily need the Vitamix premium model. You could also opt for the more affordable all-rounder, the Vitamix E310.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out!
Best regards,

Dear team,

Could you recommend a blender for a family of 4, for making green or fruit smoothies? I don't need one for soups or ice! It's important to me that it blends very smoothly and finely, even for small quantities. I would be very grateful for a recommendation.

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Karin Hägler,

In general, almost all of the devices we offer are suitable for your needs. However, I would like to make a few recommendations in different price ranges:

1. The Wartmann Mixer is definitely worth considering (as a 2-liter version for a family of 4) and stands out for its excellent price-performance ratio.
2. If you prefer Vitamix, the most affordable option would be the new E320, which has a 2-liter container with long blades. This blender will blend your smoothies even finer, which can be seen in the smoothness of raspberry seeds.
3. The second most affordable option from Vitamix would be the A2300i. It also has the same long blades as the E320, plus additional features such as a timer display, a safety feature that only allows the blender to start with a closed container, and a 10-year warranty instead of 5.

Please note that the minimum preparation quantity for smoothies with the last two options is 500 ml, while with the Wartmann Mixer it is only 250 ml.

I hope these tips help you in making your decision!

Best regards,
Carla

Hello dear team,
I have had a Steinborg HY-200 MP3.0 as my first blender in almost daily use for pretty much 5 years now, and it is now weakening significantly. Mainly I use it for green smoothies (with very fibrous vegetables like celery and also frozen fruits and vegetables like frozen spinach, kale etc), nicecream, cashew based sauces, soups and shots.
Now I am looking for a new blender that can deliver slightly "smoother" results.
The Wartmann blender in particular caught my eye because of its appealing price.
Would you recommend it to me for my requirements or would I have to dig deeper into my pocket for more homogeneous results and take a Vitamix E310, for example?
Thank you in advance!
7/10/2023
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Simone,

thank you very much for your inquiry. Both blenders - the Wartmann blender and the Vitamix E310 - are very well suited for making the preparations you mentioned. For green smoothies with fibrous leafy greens, the Vitamix E310 is a tad ahead in terms of creaminess. This is due to the higher blade tip speed of 246 km/h on the Vitamix E310 vs. 215 km/h on the Wartmann blender. In addition, the warranty on the Vitamix E310 is 5 years - on the Wartmann blender only 2 years. This partly explains the price difference.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards,
Carla

Can the Thermomix also green smoothies with herbs, maybe seeds, like Vitamix or Primo S or Bosch ?
6/5/2023
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Wolfgang,

we are not Thermomix specialists - but have nevertheless tested the preparation of green smoothies with the Thermomix: It works quite well, the creaminess - especially with fibrous ingredients like parsley, kale or wild herbs - is not quite as fine as when prepared with one of the mentioned high speed blenders. However, I can't remember how finely fruit cores from apples or pears can be processed. In the high speed blender, of course, this is not a problem.

Kind regards,
Carla

Dear Green Smoothie Team,

since I prepare a green smoothie daily, including with wild herbs (up to about 500 ml), I'm leaning towards the Primo S after what I've read here. 5-year warranty also sounds good. Test winner at Chip is Vitaboost from Bosch (185 euros). Do you know it? Is it any good? Many professional chefs recommend Vitamix. The 310 I also like quite well, but is a bit expensive.
Sunny regards
Berta

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Berta,

thank you very much for your inquiry. The Primo S is super suitable for the preparation of wild herb smoothies and has a very good price-performance ratio with 5 years warranty. In addition, Bianco offers for the Primo S the additional container Uno. With it, you can make smaller preparation quantities under 500 ml - e.g. of Nicecream, pestos, spreads.
The Vitaboost from Bosch is certainly one of the better high-performance blenders under 200 euros. Due to the shape of the container, small preparation quantities below 500 ml are not possible. If these quantities are relevant to you, keep in mind that Bosch does not offer suitable additional containers. In terms of wild herb smoothies, I would definitely give the Primo S the edge. Also, the blended food warms up as soon as you blend a bit longer. Since the Vitaboost also only has a 2-year warranty, I would rather advise you to use the Primo S.

In case you have any further questions feel free to get into touch again.

Kind Regards
Carla

Hello,
great job page! Congratulations!
Super that you also always answer questions in detail, here in the comments.

The Wartmann Blender is quite praised. If you then include the price, then it is even more interesting.
What irritates me, from this brand (is probably Dutch) you can find very little on google. In Switzerland, for example, I have found nothing.
Is this company new or does not want to appear more broadly?

Then of course just the follow-up question:
Do you also deliver to Switzerland, so in a hurry have not found anything?

And then still technically:
There is often talk about a 42-degree limit for hot soups / dishes. Are there devices where you can control this?
Or that I can set e.g. 80 degrees and they are then kept?
And if not, that I can at least control the temperature for soups?

And last question: I now have a cheap but quite nice blender (to try), a Russel Hobbs soup blender (around 100 euros).
And there I see that in practice cleaning is important.
Are there blenders that are particularly good and easy to clean? With the Russel Hobbs, of course, as with all blenders, you can just put water and a little detergent in and then let the blades run for a few seconds.

But that is usually still not enough. And to handle blades and possibly electrical contacts with water is not sooo easy.

Thanks for answers in advance.
And again, I am really impressed by your page, which probably also has a big share in your success.
Kind regards from the neighboring country.

thank you very much for the positive feedback about our site!

About your questions:

Wartmann is a Dutch company and has been on the market since 2013. They sell not only high speed blenders, but also dehydrators and other kitchen appliances.

We also deliver to Switzerland - and free shipping :)
To make buying from Switzerland as easy as possible, we have decided on the following procedure:
With delivery and billing address in Switzerland, the VAT is deducted directly in the store. Thus, it is not even calculated and the time-consuming refund in retrospect is omitted. Accordingly, we no longer make a refund of the VAT.

Blenders with temperature adjustment are not known to me so far. There are stoppers with temperature display for some Bianco di Puro blenders - e.g. the Bianco di Puro Tamper T42M for the Bianco di Puro Gusto.

In terms of cleaning: We do it exactly as you describe. To clean the blades - especially from below - we prefer to use the following cleaning brush. The cleaning works wonderfully with it.

So far - best regards,
Carla

Hello Viktoria,

thank you very much for your inquiry.
You can not find the model mentioned, because it does not exist :)
Instead, there are Blendtec blenders or the Primo S Blender by bianco di puro, which you probably mean.
If you have further questions, feel free to contact me.

Hello,
what blender can you recommend for me? I would like to make leaf flour and more often wild herbs smoothies, nut flour.
Kind regards
Susanne
3/15/2023
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Susanne,

i'm afraid I have to pass on the leaf meal, as I have neither produced nor processed it so far. What do you do with it? If the leaves are dried, you should be able to grind them with the blender without any problems.
The other two preparations - wild herb smoothies and nut flour - you can make with any of our high-powered blenders. The creamiest wild herb smoothies - really fluffy and fine - are made with the Vitamix Pro 750. Less expensive models, with which you can of course also make good, creamy wild herb smoothies, would be the Wartmann blender or the Vitamix E310.

If you have any other questions, feel free to get back to me!

Hello,
already in June, Carla had answered Marek's question about comparison possibility with Blendtec blenders, that you are "just revising" the blender comparison, to add these then. Now half a year has passed and I would be interested in the direct comparison with the other blender brands and models! When comes the comparison option with the Blendtec blenders also sold by Green Smoothies?

Dear Green Smoothies Team,

After over 10 years, my old Bianco blender is starting to wear out... so I wanted to buy a new one and am waffling between the Vitamix E 310 and the Bianco Primo S . Times beyond the price - which would you rather buy? I mainly use it to make green ( lots of wild herbs too) or blended smoothies with fruits and veggies. I am very happy to hear from you guys

Thank you very much, Sabine

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Sabiine,

thank you for your inquiry. Since you mainly want to make wild herb smoothies, I would advise you to use the Primo S blender. It shows a slightly better performance in the creaminess of the wild herb smoothies than the Vitamix E310.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us again.

Hello,
the Blendtec blenders offered on the site do not appear here in the comparison.

With a warranty of 8 years and the technical data, they seem to compete well.

Is there a reason that they do not appear in the comparison?

hello, I am looking for a high quality blender with which I can grind nuts very finely, prepare smoothies creamy and make spreads in small quantities.
what blender can you recommend?
thank you!!
6/2/2022
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Urs,

thank you very much for your request.

There are several blenders recommended that can make the preparations mentioned:

With the Wartmann blender, you'll find an affordable all-rounder that can produce both large and small quantities and has a capacity of up to 2 liters - plus a 5-year warranty on all parts. It also offers 3 time programs (soups, (fruit) smoothies and green smoothies).
The two Vitamix models don't have time programs, but have a higher blade tip speed and therefore make for a tad creamier green smoothies than the Wartmann blender. The Vitamix E310 is equipped with a 1.4 liter container - if that would be enough for you, for example, for smoothie quantities, then this is a compact alternative to the Wartmann blender - also with a 5-year warranty. Like the Wartmann blender, the Vitamix TNC 5200 comes with a 2 liter container, but offers a 7 year warranty, and is the only Vitamix that has a turbo button. This is ideal for seasoning and tuning dishes or for remixing if something sticks. It relies on a completely analog operating concept. So if you can do without programs and digital bells and whistles, you won't find a better machine than the TNC 5200. It is not for nothing that it is the bestseller from Vitamix and has been built and sold for 30 years and more.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me!
Kind regards,
Carla

Hello,

i am looking for a blender that ideally can also make juice from celery. Is there anything like this?
Kind regards!
5/16/2022
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Amit,

thank you very much for your inquiry.
There is no blender that is also designed for making celery juice. The blender is used for pureeing - i.e. all ingredients are completely preserved. Celery juice is made by squeezing celery - i.e. most of the plant fiber is separated from the plant water and extracted as pulp. Therefore, I can't recommend an explicit high-speed blender that can also produce juice.
You can only use the blender to make a puree from celery. You can then manually squeeze this through a nut milk bag or similar and collect the celery juice. We recommend this approach if someone already has a blender at home and wants to try celery juice for the first time. You can find more detailed instructions here.

Carla

Hi, I would like a blender for a family of 4 that I can use to make green smoothies as well as hummus, pestos, nicecream and date based energy balls. If I could then process grains into meal for fresh grain cereal in the morning, it would be perfect. The blender would be in daily use. Am I looking for the impossible or is there actually an alternative? Thanks!!!
4/22/2022
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Sophia,

thank you for your inquiry.
The Vitamix TNC 5200 is equipped with a 2-liter container in the Standard-Konfiguration, so you can easily make 2000 ml of creamy green smoothie for your family in a single blending process. At the same time, the container closes narrowly, so that smaller amounts of pesto, nicecream or hummus, for example, are possible from 400 ml. We have also made energy balls with it, but that is not the core competence of a high-speed blender. With very tough and sticky doughs, the Vitamix TNC 5200 also tends to overheat and switches off due to the built-in heat protection. So you either need patience or a little more liquid, which then makes the balls a little softer. You can also use the TNC 5200 to grind cereals - in my opinion, it is the best all-rounder that we offer in the store.

Hello Carla,

I'm looking for a blender for making warm soups, yogurts, ice cream, and green smoothies. I'm currently undecided between the Bianco di Puro and Vitamix. However, I noticed on the Bianco di Puro website that there are other models available (such as Volvo N, Pure S). I really like the vacuum pump and Triset feature of the Bianco di Puro. Does Vitamix have a similar "Triset" option? We are a family of 4 and want to prepare both large and small quantities.

Can you recommend what would be best suited for us? As beginners, we don't want to spend too much, but we still want a good product.

Thank you in advance,
Cristina

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Cristina,

Thank you for your inquiry. I would recommend a blender with a 2-liter container that can handle both large and small quantities - an all-rounder, so to speak. The following models could be suitable for you:

While the Tri-Set may not be compatible with the Bianco di Puro Originale, the vacuum pump is compatible. In terms of blending results, especially for green smoothies, the Vitamix TNC 5200 slightly outperforms the Wartmann Blender and the Originale due to its higher blade tip speed. You can use all three blenders to make the preparations you mentioned.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

Hello and Happy New Year!

I'm a bit confused due to the abundance of information. I'm looking for a device that can help me make hummus, vegetarian spreads, pesto, etc. Currently, I'm using an immersion blender, which doesn't work very well. Everything gets stuck around the blades, and I have to scrape out the hummus somehow. I would also like the new device to be able to chop nuts. I don't use it for making smoothies. Can you give me a recommendation for the best-suited device?

Thank you,
Hanna
1/4/2022
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Hanna,

Thank you, and Happy New Year to you too! I can think of two devices that can easily handle the preparations you mentioned:
The Wartmann Blender and the Vitamix E310. Both devices come with a 5-year warranty and can handle both large and small quantities due to their narrow tapered containers. The Wartmann Mixer has a 2-liter container and offers 3 timed programs, while the Vitamix E310 has a 1.4-liter container and does not have timed programs. However, the Vitamix E310 is more compact and has a higher blade tip speed of 246 km/h compared to the Wartmann Mixer's 215 km/h.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out!

I would only buy the Bianco di Puro Volto N in combination with the Tri-Set.
Would your recommendation still be the Vitamix E310?

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Louisa,

With the Tri-Set, you also have the option to prepare very small quantities with the Bianco di Puro Volto N - even smaller than with the Vitamix E310. If that is important to you, then I would recommend the Volto N.

Andrea
Which mixer is better for beginners, the E310 or the Primo Plus?
Thank you
12/31/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Andrea,

Thank you for your question.
Both blenders are powerful devices. With the Vitamix E310, you have the option to make smaller quantities of thick consistencies like hummus, nice cream, or nut butter - starting from around 400 ml. With the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus, you're looking at around 750 ml.
So, the E310 is the better all-rounder. However, if you're only interested in liquid preparations like smoothies, shakes, soups, or almond milk, then the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus is a top entry-level mixer.

Hello, I have been considering getting a high-speed blender for a long time. My current favorites in the price range up to about 400€ are the Vitamix E310 and the Bianco di Puro Volto N, with the Volto N being significantly more appealing to me in terms of design. I would mainly use the blender for making smoothies, soups, spreads, flour, nut cream, and raw cake batter.
Which device would you recommend to me (up to about 400€ and regardless of my favorites)?
Thank you very much and best regards!
12/31/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Louisa,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Before I recommend another device, I'd like to draw your attention to a significant difference between the Vitamix E310 and the Bianco di Puro Volto N. With the E310, you can prepare smaller quantities - liquids from 150 ml and thick consistencies from 400 ml. With the Volto N, you would need a minimum of 650 ml for solid consistencies.
Alternatively, you could take another look at the Wartmann Blender.

My recommendation would be the Vitamix E310; it's unlikely to be this affordable again - a great, powerful, and compact device.

Best regards,

Hello,
I have tried to find additional information about the Wartmann Blender and came across the Dutch website of the company. They offer various accessories such as smaller containers and a vacuum pump. Is your device the WM-1807 HS model? Why is the accessories not available?

Hello Michaela,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, the Wartmann Blender in question is the 1807 HS.

Hello,

This blender comparison is truly amazing, thank you so much for that :)

I've been wanting to get a good high-speed blender for a while now, but I don't want a huge appliance in my kitchen. Since I prefer simplicity, my eyes have been on the Vitamix E310 and recently the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus.

The Bianco di Puro is naturally more tempting in terms of price, but I get the impression that the Vitamix handles different textures better. Could you confirm that for me? I want to make smoothies and also create things like pesto and nut butter, which both blenders can do. However, I had the idea of blending cake bases made from dates, oats, and nut butter, for example. Technically, blenders are not designed for that, but do you have any idea if one of them might handle it better? Honestly, I'd rather not have an additional kitchen appliance taking up space in my shared kitchen.

Best regards,
Ingrid
10/18/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Ingrid,

Thank you for the lovely feedback on our blender comparison!

Regarding your questions:
1. Both blenders can handle the preparations you mentioned; the consistency of green smoothies is slightly smoother with the Vitamix E310, due to its higher blade tip speed. In our tests with 1.5 liters of water in the container, the E310 reached 246 km/h, while the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus only reached 216 km/h. The main difference between the two blenders is the shape of the containers and the associated minimum preparation quantities. With the Vitamix E310, you can also make smaller amounts of pesto or nut butter - starting at around 400 ml. With the Primo, for thick consistencies, you need to make at least 800 ml to ensure the blades don't spin freely during blending.
2. We generally do not recommend high-speed blenders for very thick dough consistencies. If the mixture is too thick, blenders can quickly overheat, and the built-in thermal protection will kick in and shut off the device. This means you'll need a lot of patience and possibly more liquid. In such cases, a food processor is a better option.

Best regards,
Carla

Hello! I'm also currently searching for a suitable high-speed blender, especially for making green smoothies, wild herb smoothies, frozen fruits, and nut butter. I'm extensively researching the topic and already have some favorites. I definitely want to buy a branded product that I can enjoy for many years. Build quality and warranty are also important factors. However, I do have one question, and I hope you can help me with that.

I often read about the speed or rotations per minute (RPM) that a blender should have to break down the cell walls of herbs and wild herbs, for example. However, I notice that Vitamix blenders, which are my favorites, usually don't exceed 25,000 RPM, even the Vitamix Pro only reaches a maximum of 23,000 RPM, and the E310 also has a maximum of 23,000 RPM. Blenders like the Revoblend or Omniblend have much higher speeds.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think that the speeds of Vitamix blenders are sufficient to break down the cell walls?

Greetings from Carinthia,
Gunni
6/3/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Gunni,

Thank you for your comment.
More important than the "rotations per minute" is the blade tip speed of a blender when it is filled. In this regard, Vitamix blenders definitely outperform models like the Omniblend or the Revoblend. You can see this in our blender comparison within the mixers we offer. A Vitamix Pro 750 is rated at up to 23,000 rotations per minute (RPM), but it achieves a blade tip speed of 302 km/h when filled with 1.5 liters. A Vitamix TNC 5200 is said to have up to 29,000 RPM - more than the Vitamix Pro 750 - but in the test with 1.5 liters of water, it achieves a lower blade tip speed of 250 km/h. This difference also affects the creaminess of green smoothies, especially wild herb smoothies, which is why we gave the Pro 750 two stars and the TNC 5200 one star.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

Best regards,
Carla

Hello,

Thank you for the abundance of information and comparisons!

I'm considering getting a high-speed blender, especially for smoothies with wild herbs. The Bianco di Puro Panda scored well in the evaluation with ++, but the Vitamix Pro 750 is referred to as the crème de la crème. Are the differences in results significant or nearly identical?

Do I need additional accessories to achieve the results mentioned in the evaluation?

Best regards,
Ingrid
5/17/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Ingrid,

Thank you for your question.

The previous rating was a bit misleading, so we have made a correction. The following Vitamix models are definitely suitable for wild herbs:

Vitamix Pro 300
Vitamix Pro 750
Vitamix A2300i/A2500i/A3500i

You can taste the difference!

If you're looking for a more affordable option, the Wartmann blender is a hidden gem. The results for wild herb smoothies are better with the Wartmann blender compared to the Bianco di Puro Panda. You can complement the Panda with the Square container for wild herb smoothies, but the results with the Square container are similar to the Wartmann blender.

I hope this helps!

Carla

Hello,

I have been using an Omniblend for the past 5 years. Unfortunately, I find that a lot of the ingredients, especially in smoothies, pesto, or when blending ice, get stuck at the bottom of the container. As a result, I haven't used it much for other purposes. Now, the container and blade are quite worn out. I'm unsure about what to do next. Should I buy a new container or invest in a potentially better blender available today? Can you please assist me with this decision?

Thank you very much and best regards,
Petra

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Petra,

Perhaps the 1.4-liter container from Vitamix would be interesting for you. It also fits the Omniblend and is easier to empty due to its smaller size. Our experience shows that green smoothies turn out creamier in this container compared to the Omniblend container.

Considering the prices of the containers, it might be worth considering selling the Omniblend and switching to the Vitamix E310 instead. It already comes with a 1.4-liter container, and you would also have a full 5-year warranty on both the blender and the container.

Best regards,
Carla

Hello Petra,

Thank you for your feedback!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to sell the Omniblend anymore as it has been heavily damaged from constant use, including blending celery since I don't have a juicer.

As for the smaller 1.5-liter container of the Omniblend, I don't have any specific experiences with it. I'm still considering which one is suitable since the Vitamix container is considerably more expensive. Could you please compare both containers for me? That would be great.

Warm regards,
Petra
5/12/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Petra,

If you choose the Omniblend, always go for the 2-liter container. It's nearly impossible to blend ice in the 1.5-liter container because it has too large of a base area around the blades, and a tamper cannot reach the outer edge to push down the mixture. Pesto might be easier to empty from the 1.5-liter container, but you need larger minimum quantities for the blades to grip properly. Additionally, there can be some splattering when blending smoothies...

I hope this helps!

Best regards,
Carla

Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for your wonderful and informative website!
In general, I am leaning towards the Vitamix E310. However, I also want to be able to grind small amounts of flour and make raw dough. I have already read that another device might be better for this, but I don't want to buy an additional appliance. Is it still possible to process a slightly firmer mass with the Vitamix E310?
What particularly interests me is the development of the Bianco di Puro devices with the vacuum pump. Does this significantly increase the vitamin retention in smoothies? The Vitamix E310 does not have such a feature or additional device, right?
Thank you very much for your support in making this decision!
Best regards,
Kathrin
3/31/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Kathrin,

Thank you for your questions.
You can easily grind flour with the Vitamix E310. However, frequent grinding can cause the container to become "cloudy," which is why "frequent grinders" purchase a dry grains container from Vitamix for that purpose.
Regarding dough: Liquid batters like those for muffins or pancakes are not a problem, but when it comes to thicker consistencies, the blender quickly activates the heat protection. That's just how it is. For firmer doughs, you are definitely better off using a food processor. High-speed blenders are not dough kneading machines!
There are no vacuum pumps available as accessories for the Vitamix E310. Those are only available for Bianco di Puro or Wartmann blenders. Using a vacuum pump reduces oxidation during blending, which helps minimize nutrient loss in your smoothie.

Best regards,
Carla

Rui
Hello,

Unfortunately, experience has shown me that there is no kitchen appliance that can do everything really well. Therefore, I have already accumulated good kitchen appliances (a food processor from Magimix, a stand mixer from Kenwood, an immersion blender from ESGE). For example, the Kenwood mixing container cannot create proper smoothies, as it remains chunky. With the ESGE immersion blender, it partially works, but it is time-consuming and not entirely satisfactory.
That's why I am considering buying a high-speed blender. It doesn't have to make pestos & co, as I have the food processor, and I can't imagine that a blender would be more suitable for that. Or do you see it differently?
So, I think I am looking for a blender that can exclusively handle (green) smoothies, including frozen ingredients. I have come across the Bianco di Primo Plus and the Vitamix E310. The price speaks for the Bianco di Puro, while the brand name and warranty speak for the Vitamix. What about the end result? Do you have a clear recommendation in this regard? And is the cleaning effort similar, or is one of the two better in this aspect?
Thank you very much in advance for your response. Best regards
3/10/2021
Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Rui,

Thank you for your inquiry.
You're absolutely right - there isn't one device that can do everything in the kitchen. A high-speed blender is the specialist when it comes to pureeing and blending multiple ingredients. For example, I don't have a food processor at home, and I make all my dips, pestos, and hummus to my fullest satisfaction with a blender. However, when it comes to firmer doughs like those for energy balls, a blender can sometimes shut off or activate the heat protection. In those cases, a food processor definitely takes priority.
Regarding your blender question: You have chosen exactly the two devices that I recommend as well. In terms of blending green smoothies, they are quite similar - the Vitamix E310 may have a slight edge when it comes to very fibrous ingredients like parsley or wild herbs. Additionally, the Vitamix E310 offers a longer warranty of 5 years on all parts, while the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus only has a 2-year warranty on all parts. Another difference is that the mixing container of the Vitamix E310 allows for smaller preparation quantities - perfect for nice cream, hummus, or pesto. But in that regard, you have your food processor.
In terms of cleaning, all blenders are equally easy! I can highly recommend both devices to you. If you have a bit more budget available, I would lean towards the Vitamix E310. If time programs are important to you, then the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus might be the right device for you.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

Thank you, Carla. You had a Bianco di Puro Primo Plus as a display model on special offer, and I took advantage of it. And upon careful reading of your response, I still have two questions:
1) Regarding quantities: What is the minimum amount for the E310 and the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus?
2) What about the Wartmann blender? I somehow completely overlooked it on my mobile screen, but I saw it here on the larger screen. It does come with a 5-year warranty and can handle quantities from 250 ml, as you mentioned. So, it actually has the two advantages you mentioned for the E310, right? But how does it compare to the E310 and the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus in terms of green smoothies? Is the result the same or comparable, or are we talking about a different category?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Rui,

Congratulations on your Bianco di Puro Primo Plus - it's a great blender. And you didn't overlook anything because the Wartmann blender has just arrived. It could have been an option for you as well, as it makes those who are looking for an all-around blender happy, capable of preparing both large and small quantities of liquids and solids with the same container. In your case, you're mainly focused on smoothies with frozen fruits, rather than smaller amounts of pesto, nice cream, or hummus. Therefore, the Wartmann blender would primarily be a more affordable alternative to the Vitamix E310. In terms of smoothie consistency, it is on par with the Primo and slightly behind the Vitamix E310. However, the Primo is the more compact blender model and many consider it to be the most aesthetically pleasing Bianco di Puro model!
Regarding your question about quantities: For liquid preparations, the Vitamix E310 starts at a minimum of 150 ml, while the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus is slightly higher, at around 250 ml. The difference becomes more noticeable with thicker preparations: The E310 can handle approximately 350 ml, whereas the Primo Plus can handle over 500 ml.

Best regards,
Carla

Hello,
I feel similar to some others before me. The more I read, the more uncertain I become in my decision.
I have a Thermomix that is about 10 years old, which has its advantages, but no longer meets my needs, especially for making smoothies. We are a household of 3 people, and I usually need quantities for 2 people. Now I finally want to get a blender that is suitable "once and for all" for making raw soups, green smoothies, nice cream, and even energy balls.
I would also like to have an additional, possibly smaller, container. It should be practical to clean - perhaps slightly wider at the bottom?
I haven't looked at Bianco di Puro mixers. Somehow, I remember that Vitamix is the market leader...
I am leaning towards the Pro 500, but it doesn't come with a lid insert!? What is it for? Or the Pro 750, which costs an additional 250€.
Maybe you can help me so that I can finally find what I'm looking for.
Thank you very much in advance for your support!

Hello Andrea,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Your preselection is very well suited to you and your needs!
The Vitamix Pro 750 makes the creamiest green smoothies and can of course be used for all blender preparations such as raw soup or nice cream. If you also want to prepare smaller quantities (under 750 ml) of thicker/viscous consistencies such as nice cream or hummus, then the 1.4-liter container from Vitamix would be a useful accessory. With that, you can make nice cream starting from 350 ml and smoothies from 150 ml.
The advantage of the Vitamix Pro 500 is that you wouldn't need another container for smaller preparation quantities. However, while green smoothies are finely pureed, they do not have the fluffiness of those made with a Vitamix Pro 750!
Regarding cleaning: Both mixers and their containers are very easy to clean if you rinse them with water immediately after use. This prevents food residues from drying up, and the container base, including the blades, will be clean in no time. Especially with our practical cleaning brush.
Regarding the lid insert: Both mixers and their containers have a lid insert - the Vitamix Pro 500 as well as the Vitamix Pro 750. The lid insert is used either for measuring ingredients or you can remove it so that you can use the tamper - for example, with thicker consistencies where you push the mixture towards the blades with the tamper.
Regarding energy balls: You can make the dough or the nut-dried fruit mixture for energy balls with the blender, but it requires a lot of patience. A high-performance blender is not the specialist for too dry doughs; it quickly goes into heat protection mode and shuts off. Therefore, you have to proceed slowly and give the blender breaks during preparation.

Hello,
I make green smoothies about once a week and I am considering making my own tomato sauces in the blender in the future. We have a small kitchen, so I am considering the Panda or the Attivo. In general, I prefer devices that are simple, yet robust and durable. Which one would be better suited? I can't really figure it out from the comparison. :-) And do you really throw in whole tomatoes when making tomato sauce? Thank you!

Carla von GrüneSmoothies.de
Hello Maike,

Actually, I would recommend two other mixers: Either the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus- it is priced between the Bianco di Puro Attivo and Bianco di Puro Panda. However, it is a better mixer for green smoothies and, above all, smaller than the Panda.
As a second alternative, I would recommend the Vitamix E310. It is excellent for green smoothies and all other blender preparations; extremely durable and compact. Of course, it is more expensive than the Bianco devices! If that is too expensive for you, I would recommend the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus.
Honestly, I have never made tomato sauce in a blender, but I have made tomato cream soup. I would always quarter large tomatoes - halve medium-sized tomatoes, and puree cherry tomatoes whole.

Best regards,
Carla

Thank you for the advice! I deviated from the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus because it only has a 2-year warranty, which must have a reason. :-)
The Panda seems to have all the good qualities of the Bianco di Puro Originale, while being slightly smaller and more affordable. The Vitamix devices are indeed too expensive for me, as I wouldn't use the blender enough to justify the cost. Besides the size, is there any reason to advise against the Panda? Thank you!
(I would love to receive this kind of advice directly from you in person, but unfortunately, that is not possible at the moment.)

Hello Maike,

In that case, the Bianco di Puro Panda is a perfect fit for you, with its 5-year warranty. So, there is no reason to discourage you from choosing it, as long as it is also the right size for you.

Hello :-)

Hmmm ... Having choices can be quite a dilemma ;-)
It's a shame that the comparison between the Pro 300 and the Volto is missing :-( They could be interesting options as well. I am considering the Pro 750 or the 300. It seems that the Pro 500 might not quite match up in terms of power, especially for smoothies.
We are a household of two and we mainly need the blender for hummus, smoothies, and soups. Ice cream would be a nice addition too ;-) And then there's cashew butter, as we use it for soups, cashew cream, etc. I'm not such a big fan of almond butter.
But now I have the agony of choice ;-)
What would you recommend?

Warm regards :-)

Hello Gudrun,

Thank you for your inquiry.

In terms of green smoothies and the finest creaminess, the Vitamix Pro 300 and Pro 750 are superior to the Vitamix Pro 500. When it comes to hummus and cashew butter, the difference in performance is negligible. If you want to prepare smaller quantities - under 750 ml - then the Pro 500 is the better choice. With its included standard container, it is possible to achieve thick, viscous consistencies starting from 350 ml. This can be especially advantageous for nice cream or ice cream if you don't want to consume 800 ml immediately. Of course, you can also upgrade the Pro 750 or Pro 300 later with an additional container like the Vitamix 1.4-liter container, which allows you to prepare small amounts of hummus, nut butter, or nice cream. From my perspective, this would be the top setup because green smoothies taste the most delicious with the Pro mixers. If you are looking for a blender with a versatile container, my recommendation would be the Pro 500. All the mentioned mixers are equally suitable for making soups.

Best regards,

Carla

Hello Carla, first of all, thank you. The additional 1.4-liter container is not a problem. I already thought that it would be better to include it.
It is important to me that cashew butter works, as I use it very often.
Regarding the Volto: What do you think of it compared to the Pro 300/750? With the Volto, I could also use the attachment with the small containers.
I think the main difference between the Pro 300 and Pro 750 is whether they have automatic programs or not.
One of the three will be the choice - unless you have any other suggestions for me.
Warm regards, Gudrun

Hello Gudrun,

I stick to my recommendation, even compared to the Bianco di Puro Volto, and would advise you to go for the Vitamix Pro 300 or Pro 750. The only difference - as you correctly assumed - lies in the automatic programs, which means convenience and possibly aesthetics (but that's a matter of personal preference). They are equally creamy when it comes to making green smoothies!
When making cashew butter or any other nut butter, you always have to approach it with a bit of trial and error or bring some patience - meaning, take sufficient breaks while blending. We show how to make almond butter in the blender, for example, here: Almond butter preparation.

Best regards,
Carla

Hello Carla,
I have decided to go with the Vitamix Pro 300 with the additional container, and I am extremely satisfied. The smoothies are fantastic :-)
Now, I might want to make raw cakes again, but the containers are too big for that, right? I want to make cakes with a maximum diameter of 20 cm, possibly even smaller since there are only two of us. Do you have any alternative suggestions for me?

Hello Gudrun,

It's great to hear that you are so satisfied with the Vitamix Pro 300. Yes, the smoothies turn out so beautifully creamy and smooth!
Regarding your question: Am I understanding correctly that you purchased the 1.4-liter container as an additional accessory? If that's the case, I would suggest trying it out first to see if you can prepare the quantities you want with it. In theory, it should be possible.

Best regards,
Carla
