The Vitamix container for small quantities
The Vitamix 1.4 liter container is the ideal complement to the Vitamix Pro 300 and Vitamix Pro 750, it is also suitable for smaller preparation quantities. This can be very useful, for example, if the shelf life of your preparations is short or if they should be consumed fresh, as in the case of Nicecream or ice cream.
The 1.4-liter container is just as versatile as the Vitamix 2-liter container, but due to its compact height, it fits under any kitchen cabinet.

Preparation possibilities
Blending: fine green smoothies, fruit and vegetable smoothies, vegan milk, sauces, dips, salsas, pestos, cold and hot soups (up to 100°C) from 250 ml, ice cream and nut butter from approx. 400 ml. For the latter, a tamper is needed to push the viscous mass from the edges of the container back to the blades. Therefore, a higher minimum quantity is required.
Shredding: The Vitamix 1.4 liter container is also perfectly suitable for shredding root vegetables, such as carrots, beet, parsnip or Parmesan cheese.
The Vitamix 1.4-liter container is also suitable for grinding coffee or cereals. You can grind whole beans (from 40g) without any problems. However, regular grinding makes the container opaque, which is why a grinding container makes sense.

Pro tip: Owners of a Vitamix TNC 5200 and Vitamix Pro 500 can use the tamper they already have. This tamper can also be used for the 0.9 liter container.
Who should have a Vitamix 1.4 liter container ?
The 1.4 liter container is the ideal complement for the Vitamix Pro 300 and Vitamix Pro 750 if you want to prepare smaller quantities between 250 - 500 ml, such as pestos or dips. Also, ice cream or nicecream can be made from frozen fruit or nut butter (i.e. thicker preparations) starting at about 400 ml. For comparison: The standard container of the Vitamix Pro 750 or Vitamix Pro 300, requires a minimum of approx. 800 ml for Nicecream, allowing you to push the ingredients back towards the blades during the blending process.
Alternatively, if the container is too large, it may make sense to purchase a Vitamix TNC 5200 or Vitamix Creations. These blenders can be ordered with a small container instead of a large one - by noting this in the comments in the last step of the order process.

Hello,
is the container compatible with the Omniblend V blender? I am seeking an alternative to the Omniblend 1.5 L container, whose quality is unacceptably poor.
Thank you in advance.

Hello Maja,
Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately, the Vitamix containers are incompatible with Omniblend devices.

Hello,
I am looking for an additional container for small quantities of ice cream, pesto, spreads, etc. well. I do not quite understand why the minimum quantities of 1.4 and 0.9 liter container are the same, since the footprint of the 0.9 liter container is a bit smaller than the 1.4 liter container. Have you ever made a direct comparison, or how do you know that the minimum quantities are the same for the 0.9 and 1.4L container?
Another question: is there anything taking the 0.9L DRY container for small amounts of ice cream, pesto or spills or should you definitely take a 0.9 or 1.4L WET container for this application? According to Youtube, at least for pesto, I do not see any difference between dry and wet container. (I already have the grinding container)
Thanks for the clarification ;)

Hello Roland,
thank you very much for your question.
The 1.4 liter container seams to be larger at the bottom – that's due to the frame that is needed to centre the container on the mat of the engine base. The 0.9 container does not have such a frame.
In fact, however, the footprint of the two containers is so similar that there only is a tiny millilitre differences. We tested this ourselves!
Let's put it this way: you can prepare ice cream, pesto, spreads, etc. with the dry container without issues and will achieve a good result. However, you will achieve the best result with the wet blade for wet food.

Hello dear green smoothie team,
my container has discoloured due to turmeric. Do you have any tips or experience on how I can remove this orange patina?
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Franziska

Hello Franziska,
thank you very much for your message
Putting the container in direct sunlight for a day will help. UV radiation bleaches many stubborn discolourations.

Dear green smoothie team,
My 1.4L container is not as tight on the Pro300 as I am used to with the 2L container. With nut butter, it turns to the right until it somehow stops. Is this normal?
I am very happy with my Pro300!
Many thanks and greetings

Hello Frederike,
Thank you very much for your message.
The twist of the 1.4 liter container is intended by Vitamix. The clearance makes it much easier to put the container in place. The base of the 2.0 liter container is not square, but curved. This is again due to the larger footprint of the container base.
Kind regards,

Hello,
I have a vitamix pro750 with the wide low 2l container. Now I need smaller quantities from time to time. Is it better to buy the additional 1.4 l container (then I have 2 containers standing around ...) or is the smoothie quality equal that I can just buy the high slim (old?) 2l container and thus do not have two containers constantly standing outside? Thanks already!
Question submitted by Katja on July 5, 2019 at 12:25 o'clock
Hello Katja,
thank you very much for your inquiry.
The best, creamiest smoothie consistency is achieved with the Vitamix 2-liter Pro container – i.e. the standard container for the Vitamix Pro 750.
Therefore, we would recommend the purchase of the Vitamix 1.4 liter container for smaller preparation quantities.
Many greetings

Can this attachment be cleaned in the dishwasher?
Question submitted by Pascal on June 2, 2019 at 08:35 o'clock
Hello Pascal,
Thank you for the question.
Unfortunately, the container cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher. However, the cleaning is very fast.
For smoothies, simply rinse with water after blending – that’s enough.
For greasy ingredients, add a drop of dishwashing liquid and use the cleaning brush we recommend.
This way, the container can also be used several times in a row.
Best regards,
