Nicecream: Recipes at a glance
Nicecream base: peeled frozen bananas
I prefer to use frozen bananas as base for my Nicecream recipes. They provide a nice creamy consistency, but without any cream at all. It's important that you peel the bananas before freezing them. Cut them into slices - no wider than 1.5 cm - Put them in the freezer.
Tip 1: It's best to freeze several bananas at once, because once you've made Nicecream, you or your family will want more.
Tip 2:If you want to use other fruits as a frozen base - e. G. mangos, strawberries or wild berries, make sure that the frozen fruits are not larger than raspberries. This makes mixing much easier.
Prepare Nicecream in a high-speed blender
All you need is a powerful blender, which ideally can also mix at low speeds. Not every high-performance blender can do this! Depending on the container shape of your blender, different minimum amounts are necessary for the Nicecream preparation. While you can use the Vitamix TNC 5200 or the Vitamix E310 to make small amounts of ice cream starting at 400 ml, the Vitamix Pro 750, for example, requires 800 ml.

great - thank you for sharing your experience. It might be interesting for others as well.
Best regards,

What if I only have dried raw mango available for making mango nice cream? Can I soak it in water? If yes, what would be the ratio to achieve a similar consistency to the recipe and fresh mango?
thank you for your question. You would definitely need to soak the dried mango pieces in water - you may also consider blending some of the soaking water with the mango. Since I have never made nice cream with dried fruits myself, I can't provide you with specific measurements. You would have to experiment on your own.
Best regards,
Carla
I have tried several times now to get your great nice cream recipes for printing. Unfortunately, it's not working. Maybe this way it will work. That would be great.
I have been a newsletter subscriber for a long time. Maybe that's the reason?
Thank you in advance.
You had already downloaded the PDF years ago. Unfortunately, due to technical reasons, it can only be done once with us...
My colleagues will send you a copy via email!

Thanks for the recipe ideas
thank you so much for the lovely recipe feedback. The mango nicecream with ginger is also one of my favorites - especially with the lime zest as topping.
Kind regards,
Carla
Thank you very much for the recipe. Will make it today.
I've had the Vitamix S 30 for a few days now.
Smoothies are great, as is cashew cream.
It took a bit longer to make peanut-cashew butter because I initially didn't have enough ingredients in the blender, but the result is creamy and delicious.
However, I'm having some trouble with nice cream. At first, I think I also didn't have enough ingredients, ending up with chunks and a bit of a mess. Not to mention the unpleasant odor.
Now, according to the recipe, I blended 125g of cashew yogurt and 225g of frozen strawberries. I started slowly, then increased the speed to 10. The blades were spinning empty, and big air bubbles appeared.
Should nice cream be blended entirely on a low speed? If so, which speed is recommended for the S 30?
Best regards,
Silke

Pia
actually, it works without thawing. It is important that the banana pieces are not too big and that the unfrozen fruits go into the container first.
Just try it again – if necessary with short thawing, if the banana pieces are larger than 1-1.5 cm thick slices.
Furthermore, it is mandatory to use the tamper during the whole preparation!!!
Best regards,
Carla
could I please get the recipes as pdf?
Thanks in advance!
we'll be happy to do that; the email with the download link should be with you in a moment :)

You can also modify the strawberry and raspberry nicecream. Simply omit the bananas. Instead, you use frozen berries and add cream. The nicecream then is no longer vegan, but banana-free...
Love, Carla
I am also a huge fan of nice cream, I have it at least twice a week (if I remember to freeze enough bananas or other fruits;) )
The Vitamix is truly a brilliant device, as I also have smoothies in the morning, it's constantly in use for me.
And besides, I have started a smoothie delivery service in Munich for green smoothies, where the Vitamixers are working overtime :D
Apart from that, your website is really top-notch, I always find great inspiration and ideas there! Thank you for that!
Best regards,
Annika
That is indeed a good question.
Is it an S30 model,
or does the Vitamix look more like this, with a slender, tall container?
or does the Vitamix look more like this, with a wide, flat container?
Only in the last case, the 1.4-liter container is recommended as an additional option, as larger quantities than those indicated in this recipe are needed.
For the first two options, you can try the recipes without any problems, even without the 1.4-liter container.
Does this information help you?
Best regards,
Kazuo
My favorite recipes so far: banana with
- raspberries (frozen, no syrup),
- cocoa powder (now I really have to try it with nuts and espresso) or
- peanut butter.
Unfortunately, my sister didn't like it because of the bananas. Cashews are too energy-rich for me, unless you only use a few for creaminess, and not to create mass. So I'm looking for a fruit that can also be frozen and blended, and that doesn't have such a pronounced taste with chocolate and such. Fruit ice cream isn't really my thing. And the bananas are usually so submissive ;-) Except for the occasional raspberry. But with cocoa, espresso, and nuts? Nah...
I've been a proud owner of a Vitamix S for some time now, and I am sooooo satisfied; often inspired by your recipes. Thank you so, so much for that!
Warm regards,
petra
Do you absolutely need the wet container for that? What happens if you use the standard container from Vitamix?
Best regards,
Markus
depending on which blender you have, the standard container can be quite wide, like with the Pro 750. It is difficult to process small quantities as indicated here. Similar to Nice cream, I like to use the 1.4 liter wet container for nut milk, pesto, or other preparations where I only need smaller amounts. However, these recipes can be easily prepared in the standard containers of the Pro 500, TNC 5200, or S30.
Enjoy experimenting, best regards - Svenja
Thanks for the delicious recipes.

Marlene from Darmstadt
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback and best wishes with smoothies, nice creams, and any future creations.

That sounds fantastic, I can almost smell the espresso and taste the combination of nuts and cocoa. I will definitely try it out tomorrow, as well as the other two recipes as soon as possible. Warmer temperatures will surely follow!
By the way, how much quantity do you get from your recipes?
Please keep up the great work, your shots are just as good as the smoothies.
Best regards,
Domenica
Thank you very much for your kind words.
The recipes yield approximately 2-3 servings, depending on one's appetite. When I made the "Nutty Chocolate Espresso" variation for the first time, I couldn't resist eating it all at once, even though it was already evening.
Wishing you much enjoyment and delight in trying them out. Warm regards - Svenja
as an alternative to bananas, cashews or ripe avocado, for example, are suitable. Both are great for creating creamy consistencies and can be wonderfully combined with the other ingredients.
Have fun experimenting!
Warm regards - Svenja
A question about the Nutty Chocolate Espresso:
Was the espresso previously cooled down or do you put the entire cream back in the freezer?
I added the espresso directly hot into the blender, as the frozen bananas bring enough coldness with them. The nicecream can be consumed right away without the need for additional cooling. Enjoy it and please let us know how you liked it.
Svenja
You can also prepare the Nicecreams with ripe avocados or cashews. The cashews can be mixed directly without soaking. In this case, of course, other ingredients need to provide the freezing effect and be appropriately frozen.
Wishing you success and warm regards,
Svenja.
