Just as good, but cheaper!
Technically, the Hurom H-AA can easily keep up with its brother HZ Alpha, but it only costs about two-thirds of it. For the price advantage, Hurom has omitted stainless steel elements and also reduced the scope of delivery. The H-AA is therefore ideal for producing freshly squeezed juices - especially mixed juices from fruit and vegetables. In addition, the Hurom H-AA scores with its compact design and some convenient features such as its juice flap and the juice drum for mixing juices - you could say that the juicer overall scores with great handling.
Hurom H-AA Product Highlights:
- Compact: The vertical design ensures that the Hurom H-AA finds its place, even in the smallest kitchen.
- Good for mixed juices: Those who like to mix juices, from fruits and vegetables, will love the Hurom H-AA.
- Convenient: The practical juice flap prevents the juice from dripping onto the countertop after juicing.
- No effort required: Thanks to its vertical design, the Hurom H-AA juices almost by itself. The tamper rarely needs to be used to push the ingredients to the auger.

About the manufacturer Hurom
Hurom is one of the most successful juicers manufacturers. The Korean company has made itself a name on the European market - especially in the vertical juicer segment. Other juicer brands, such as Omega or Sana, have taken advantage of the know-how that Hurom developed and have their appliances manufactured by Hurom in South Korea.
How good is the quality of the juice?
The Hurom H-AA produces clear and full-bodied juices. At only 43 revolutions per minute, the H-AA juices extremely gently and efficiently. The ingredients are gently and efficiently squeezed, resulting in a high juice yield and good juice quality.
The Hurom H-AA can be used for fruit and vegetable juices such as carrot juice, beetroot juice or mixed green juices, as well as for making sauerkraut juice and ginger-/turmeric-shots. Due to its vertical design, the H-AA is particularly well suited for juicing water-rich fruits and vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes or grapes - preferably alternating with harder ingredients such as carrots or crisp apples.
Is the Hurom H-AA capable of producing celery juice?
The Hurom H-AA landed in the midfield in our celery juice juicer test: it extracted an average of 376 ml of celery juice from 500 g of celery stalks. A good result, but like all vertical juicers, the Hurom H-AA tends to clog more quickly - especially if you regularly prepare larger quantities of celery juice or other fibrous ingredients. Horizontal juicers such as the Sana Juicer 707 or the test winner Angel Juicer are better suited for the preparation of celery juice.
Important preparation note: Please cut the celery stalks into 1-2 cm long pieces. This makes it easier to separate the juice from the pulp during the juicing process.
What other preparation possibilities are there?
In addition to juicing, the Hurom H-AA can also be used to prepare fresh nut milk. This is much easier with the H-AA than with a high-speed blender - you can find instructions for almond milk preparation here.
Delicious sorbets made from frozen fruits and vegetables can easily be prepared with the HUROM H-AA - all you need is the Sorbee screen.
Operation & handling of the Hurom H-AA
The marks on the device make the assembly of the Hurom H-AA very easy! The central control element is a switch on the back of the motor block - start, stop and REV (reverse) functions. This simple handling characterizes the Hurom juicers of the 3rd generation.
Juicing with the Hurom H-AA
The scope of delivery of the Hurom H-AA is equipped with two screens for juicing: While the fine screen is used for almost all juice ingredients, the coarse screen is either used for soft ingredients such as peaches, ripe pears or berry fruits. Or if you want a smoothie-like, thicker juice consistency.
Before you start juicing, the pulp regulator should be set to CLOSE and the juice flap should be closed. The latter is an advantage especially for mixed juices, as the juices are already mixed in the juice drum.
After the ingredients have been cut to fit the size of the hopper, juicing can begin. Set the central switch to START or ON, and gradually fill in the ingredients. The juice then flows into the juice drum, while the pulp gradually comes out and is collected in the pulp jar.
Fibrous ingredients such as celery stalks or parsley should be cut into 1-2 cm long pieces. Hard, elongated ingredients such as carrots or parsnips should be halved or even quartered, depending on their thickness.
When the juice drum is full or all ingredients have been juiced, the juice is dispensed by opening the juice flap - either into the included Hurom juice jug or directly into a drinking glass or bottle for immediate consumption.
Important note on pulp regulation:
- After juicing approx. 400 ml, the pulp regulator should be set to the middle position. This lowers the pressure in the juice drum.
- The pulp regulator should also be set to the middle position when preparing juices from soft fruits and vegetables.
If the juice drum is clogged, reverse the process
If there is a backlog of ingredients in the juice drum because too many ingredients have been added too quickly, simply turn the central switch to the REV function and hold it down for a few seconds. Now the juicer will rotate backwards, releasing the ingredient jam. Now release the REV function and wait until the motor stops. Then restart the Hurom H-AA and continue juicing. If necessary, simply repeat (again)!
Cleaning the Hurom H-AA
After juicing, the Hurom H-AA should first be pre-cleaned by filling water into the hopper with the juice flap closed and the pulp regulation open. Now simply let the Hurom run for 30-60 seconds until you open the juice flap and remove the water. To clean the individual parts, disassemble the Hurom H-AA. Rinse all parts with lukewarm water. For cleaning the screen, use the cleaning brush supplied - likewise for cleaning the pulp outlet. Use the end of the cleaning brush and get the pulp residue out of the outlet. The pulp control should be set to OPEN when cleaning so that all residue comes out when rinsing. At the end, you can either let the parts air dry or wipe them with a kitchen towel and then reassemble the Hurom H-AA right away. Done!

Cleaning brush
Our cleaning-brush helps you clean the hopper, but also is a great help when removing larger ingredient residues from the juice drum and all other parts. Of course, you can also use the cleaning brush to clean bottles and generally use it in everyday kitchen life. We wouldn't know how to keep our kitchen clean without it.

Can you also juice potatoes?
Question submitted by Helmut Nagy on October 4, 2022 at 09:59 o'clock
Hello Helmut,
Thank you very much for your message.
Potatoes can be juiced with any slow juicer, no problem.
If you are dealing with older, already soft potatoes, you may need a coarse sieve, which the Hurom H-AA has in its scope of delivery.
All the best,
Your GrueneSmoothies.com team

It is not always easy to get the lid in the right position. In addition, vegetables sometimes get stuck. At the same time, it is very easy and quick to clean. The included brushes are ideal for this.

Satisfied so farI gave the device to my daughter as a gift. She is very satisfied so far. However, she lives in a shared apartment and the device is certainly also used by roommates. Let's see if the device passes this endurance test!

Great productOur old mid-range juicer was broken and we have decided after long consideration for this - for us - high-priced juicer. After three weeks of intensive use, we have not regretted it for a second. Powerful, quiet and with great juice yield. The juice is thin and tastes better than with our old device. Clear recommendation and worth the money.

I would buy againI have had the Hurom H-AA for two years and am super satisfied. Many thanks also to the comprehensive explanations by phone after the purchase. Thus, small application problems could be solved directly. Even if the slow juicer is already super - with good explanation it becomes even better ;)
