Hello, where and how long can I store oil? Greetings Heike
Question submitted by Heike Nützler on May 12, 2021 at 11:06 o'clock
Hello Heike,
thank you for your message.
Unfortunately, your question cannot be answered in a general way.
The three factors temperature, light and oxygen are always variable.
Oils should be stored in a dark, cool and dry place. You can store the oil in the refrigerator, but not in the freezer.
There are many antioxidants in sesame oil, which provide a long shelf life.
As soon as the oil starts to taste rancid, it should no longer be used.
Best regards,
Your GrueneSmoothies.com team

Dear team, I am thinking of buying the oil press with the Sana 727. Can you say something about cleaning (procedure, effort, etc.)? And how exactly should pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds be shelled so that the press can process them?
Thank you very much and best regards!
Question submitted by Eileen on November 24, 2021 at 22:05 o'clock
Hello Eileen,
Thank you very much for your message.
The cleaning effort for the oil press is significantly higher than for the normal juice drum, but this is not surprising, since the production of oil is a greasy affair. We also recommended the red version of the 727, as oily fingers can leave marks on the matte black finish.
For pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, you must remove the outer shell. You can also find already shelled seeds and can thus save yourself this tedious work ;-)

Can I press rosehip seeds?
Question submitted by Claudi on March 18, 2021 at 15:20 o'clock
Hello Claudia,
Thank you very much for your question.
Unfortunately, rose hip seeds are not listed as pressable ingredients in the operating instructions of the oil press, so we would answer the question with "No".

Hi, what is the temperature inside the oil press. Do not quite understand why you need a protective glove?
Question submitted by Nataliya Petta on January 19, 2020 at 12:39 o'clock
Hello Nataliya,
Thank you very much for your question.
We have not tested what temperature is reached during the production of oil. However, there is such a high pressure that heat can be generated near the auger – you need the protective glove for disassembling the press

Should the seeds be roasted?
Question submitted by Sandra Scheutz on July 11, 2019 at 11:03 o'clock
Hello Sandra,
thank you very much for your message
Feel free to roast the ingredients before you processes them.
However, we do not recommend doing this as the unheated nuts/seeds/seeds will yield more oil.
