Hello Devon,
thank you for your request.
The Vitamix Food Processor is only compatible with Ascent and Venturist motor bases purchased in the USA and Canada.
It is NOT compatible with European Ascent appliances.

I understand that this is meant for US Ascent models...
However what I do not understand is why you refer to "power". This is a food processor that is driven by the base's motor. It does not take electricity from the base.
So WHY would it not work for European Ascent models, exactly?
Is it because of the smart detect? I use the small cup and smoothy bottle with the smart detect blade attachment with no issues at all!
So how is this different?
Question submitted by Don Pasquale on October 21, 2022 at 20:32 o'clock
Hello, thank you for your email.
You guessed right, it's the smart detect function. The European motors only drive containers and attachments that have a detect function. American engines and containers do not have this detect function. This is why the American food processor without the detect function cannot be operated on European motors with detect function. The solution would be for Vitamix to release a food processor with a detect function, but unfortunately we have no information on that.

Will this attachment also be available for the European market or the European models at some point?
Question submitted by Alexander Apfler on May 14, 2021 at 11:05 o'clock
Hello Alexander.
There currently are no plans to work on the food processor to make it usable for the European devices. We therefore assume that the Food Processor will not be released on the European market.

Can I use the Vitamix Food Processor on my Vitamix under my responsibility?
Question submitted by Dieter Harnischfeger on April 16, 2021 at 08:02 o'clock
Hello Dieter,
Thank you very much for your question.
The Vitamix Food Processor is only compatible with the US power grid.
Accordingly, it will not work with any Vitamix model for the European market!
The European Ascent devices have container detection and do not recognize the Food Processor....
