Hello,
can you put the small knife block from the Family Set attachment also in the dishwasher?
Question submitted by Isabella Cervinka on May 1, 2023 at 14:35 o'clock
Hello Isabella,
thank you very much for your message.
According to Vitamix, both the containers and the blade base are dishwasher safe.
However, we recommend not putting the blade base in the dishwasher to protect the whole construction (seals). The blade base is really easy to rinse.

Hello
Is the Vitamix Family set also suitable for Vitamix Pro 750?
LG Lacrima
Question submitted by Lacrima Hermannstädter on September 10, 2022 at 17:57 o'clock
Hello Lacrima,
thank you very much for your email.
Unfortunately, the Family Set is incompatible with the Pro750, it only fits the Ascent series blenders (A2300i, A2500i, A3500i).
If your main concern is blending smaller quantities than in your 2 liter main container, we would recommend the 1.4 liter container. It has the lowest minimum preparation quantities – 250ml for liquids (smoothies, soups…) and 400ml for viscous preparations (hummus, ice cream sorbet, nut mush….)
Best Regards,

Hello
Is the Family Set also suitable for green smoothies and for pureeing vegetables?
LG Sebastian
Question submitted by Sebastian on January 20, 2022 at 14:22 o'clock
Hello Sebastian
Thank you very much for your message.
The 0.6l container is perfectly suitable for preparing fruit smoothies. However, If you want to process fibrous greens, the small Family Set containers are not the right choice.
The result is just not as creamy as when using the 2l container.

How many of the 225ml cups are included here? Under “Technical data” it says two, under "Scope of delivery” only one.

Hello Bastian,
thank you for asking. One of each of the two containers is included in the set. We have now corrected it accordingly.

Are the small containers also compatible with the 750 Vitamix ?
Question submitted by Anastasia Rachor on December 15, 2020 at 23:31 o'clock
Hello Anastasia,
thank you very much for your message
The small 0.225 ml and 0.6 ml smart containers are only compatible with the Ascent series devices (A2300i, A2500i and A3500i)

Hello dear team,
I would like to know if you can also make small portions of Nicecream with the small containers. The blender would be interesting if it is possible to prepare portions of under 800 ml ?
Thank you very much!
Kristina
Question submitted by Kristina on November 21, 2020 at 04:26 o'clock
Hello Kristina,
Thank you for your message.
The 225 ml containers are not suitable for the production of Nicecream. Viscous food preparations usually have to be made with a tamper, and the tamper cannot be used with these containers. We would therefore rather advise you to choose a “classic” Vitamix, on which the Vitamix 1.4 liter container is compatible.
Many greetings,

I have a problem with the use of the 600ml cup. Apparently, this cup has a self detect sensor installed.
But you can often screw the lid as tight as your hands allow, and the cup still is not recognized by the motor base.
That can't be it with such a high-class device.
Question submitted by Oliver on April 25, 2020 at 21:11 o'clock
Hello Oliver,
thank you very much for your message.
We recommend screwing the container onto the blade base (not completely tied), then attaching them to the motor base and continuing to rotate until the container is detected.
After the blending process, you can "pre-loosen" the container, when it still sits on the motor base.

Hello
Is this container also suitable for the preparation of almond butter? This probably only is possible from 550 ml In the large 2 liter containers. Does the container become cloudy, or is that more the case when grinding ingredients?
With kind regards
Question submitted by Bina on February 16, 2020 at 13:44 o'clock
Hello Bina,
thank you very much for your question
The small containers of the Ascent series are closed at the top, not allowing the use of the tamper. However, this is very important to bring the viscous ingredients back to the blades. You can therefore prepare nut butter with the 0.6 liter container rather laboriously!
For the 2.0 liter container, we recommend a minimum quantity of approx. 600 – 700 ml
The containers tend to become blind and cloudy when hard foods (cereals, etc.) are processed frequently.
Best regards from Berlin!

Hello,
can you use this container with a classic Vitamix (no Smart Vitamix)? Or do you need another product / adapter for this?
Thanks
Question submitted by Friederike K on November 15, 2019 at 21:33 o'clock
Hello Friederike,
Thank you very much for your message
You can use the blade base for the 0.225 liter container and 0.6 liter container exclusively on the Ascent series. There is no adapter on the German market yet.

Hello I have a question, I bought the a2500i … I am very happy with the blender.
Strolling through your page, I found out that having an extra container for grinding also makes sense.
I wanted to know if the Vitamix 0.6 liter container can be purchased with blade base.
Thank you very much
LG
Question submitted by Alexandra on October 30, 2019 at 10:36 o'clock
Hello Alexandra,
Thank you very much for your message
The 0.6 liter container is available for purchase either individually (without a blade base) or in a set (two containers + blades).
If you want to use the 0.6 liter container to prepare fine flour, however, the large 2.0 liter container of the Vitamix Ascent is somewhat better suited. The large blades can reach higher speeds, leading to a better result.
However, if you plan to grind harder foods regularly, the first signs of wear may appear – the plastic will become cloudy.

Hello dear team,
Can you also mix nut butter in the 225 ml containers?
Many greetings
Alicia
Question submitted by Alicia on May 16, 2019 at 21:49 o'clock
Hello Alicia,
thank you very much for your request.
We have now tried it again with the result: Yes, you can make almond paste or nut butter in the Vitamix 225 ml container
but it is a time-consuming process. You have to keep interrupting the blending process to loosen the chopped nuts from the inner walls of the container – otherwise, the blades quickly run dry.
We would rather recommend the cups for other types of meals. (salsa, dips, etc.)
Best regards,

Hello, yesterday arrived my Vitamix including these cups. Unfortunately, I only got the Vitamix to work with luck. On a second try it did not work. What could be the reason for this?

Will the smoothies be as creamy as in the large container?
Question submitted by christian on December 16, 2018 at 03:57 o'clock
Hi christian,
thanks for the question.
The smoothies definitely don't get as creamy in the 0.6 liter container as they do in the 2 liter container. However, it also depends on the ingredients. For example, if you want to prepare a shake made from powder and no solid ingredients, you don't notice a difference. The more difficult the ingredients are to blend, the bigger the difference.

Hello dear team,
Does the 225 ml container set also fit on the 750 Professional?
In an American video I saw that this is possible by means of an adapter. How is that with the German version?
Thanks a lot
Felix
P.s. I have recently bought the 750 Professional from you and am completely thrilled!
Question submitted by Felix Mehne on March 12, 2018 at 15:46 o'clock
Hello Felix Mehne,
thank you very much for the question.
The container does NOT fit on the Pro 750.
There is an adapter in USA that fits the Pro 750, but it is only offered with the 600 ml containers. Whether the 225 ml cups fit is questionable. In Germany, however, the adapter has not yet been announced...

Would like to know if the 225ml blending cups fit on the"German" Vitamix. You always have to be careful because the Vitamix used in the USA has a different motor block.

Hi Stephanie,
thank you for the question.
The Vitamix accessory items we sell, such as the Family Set, are of intended for the German market and therefore 100% compatible with Vitamix Smart Blenders purchased in Germany.

We are a 2-person household and therefore use these small blender jars more often than the large Ascent blender jar that comes standard with the Vitamix. This is because the wide base grips the ingredients only from a quantity of just under half a liter and with nut puree the container must be really, really full so that the blades also grip...
The small containers are therefore the ideal addition, for example, when we want to quickly "mortar" spices when cooking or mix cooking cream from pumpkin seeds - or just need a glass of nut milk for muesli.
Especially with small hands, however, quite a lot of force is needed to unscrew the blade block after mixing. Fortunately, there is a simple trick: After mixing, unscrew the motor block very slightly (not so much that the contents run out). After I found this trick on Youtube, I no longer have anything wrong with the containers :). -
