About the manufacturer Hurom
The South Korean company Hurom has long been one of the major players in the juicer industry. Especially in Europe, Hurom has made a name for itself with its vertical juicers. As a leading quality supplier in this sector, Hurom is so well recognized that renowned brands such as Omega, Sana and Nama also have their juicers produced by Hurom in South Korea.
What is the quality of the juice?
You can use the Hurom H70-ST to make all popular juices. We are delighted with how well it produces green juices such as celery juice, vegetable juices like beetroot or carrot juice, or ginger shots The juice consistency is consistently clear and particle-free, and the juices have a full flavor. m
If you mainly want to make juices from soft, water-rich (vegetable) fruits such as floury apples, pineapples, oranges etc., the Hurom H70-ST really comes into its own. While other slow juicers - both horizontal and vertical designs - are prone to ingredient jams in the juice housing, the Hurom H70-ST has no problems at all with these ingredients. Pure apple juices or delicious pineapple juice are produced without stress.
Juicing takes place at a nutrient-friendly 60 to 70 revolutions per minute, so that a maximum of nutrients and flavor ends up in the juice glass; the juices are thus spared from heat and oxygen turbulence. The juice yield is average - comparable with the other vertical juicers from Hurom.
What other preparation options are there?
Nut milk production with the fine sieve
You can also use the Hurom H70-ST to make nut milk. It is important that the nuts are soaked in water overnight before they are processed. Before juicing, pour off the soaking water and add fresh water in a ratio of around 1:3. Before the nut/water mixture can be poured into the juicer, the juice outlet flap must be closed. Now start the Hurom H70-ST and gradually pour in the nut-water mixture using a ladle. When the pressing chamber is filled with milk, open the juice outlet flap and remove the milk. Finally, you can filter the nut milk again using a nut milk bag to obtain a completely particle-free result.
Making fruit sorbet with the ice cream strainer
As the Hurom H70-ST comes with an ice cream strainer as standard, you can also use it to make fruit sorbets from frozen strawberries, wild berries or apricots. Simply insert the ice sieve instead of the fine sieve and off you go!
Operation & handling of the Hurom H70-ST
The Hurom H70-ST is very easy to assemble. Start by assembling all the components in the pressing chamber, such as the screen, scraper and auger. Then attach the hopper to the pressing chamber by turning it clockwise. Once the juice housing is complete, place it on the motor block according to the outlet devices for juice and pomace.
Chop the ingredients before juicing
hopper and the self-feeding function, cut all ingredients - be it fruit, vegetables or fibrous juice - into pieces about 2-3 cm in size or divide larger fruits such as apples, pears and citrus fruits into quarters or eighths. This allows you to fill the hopper to the maximum.
Then close the lid and switch the central function switch on the motor block to 'ON'. The Hurom H70-ST will then automatically start juicing the ingredients. After about 2-3 minutes, the juice is ready and you can open the juice outlet flap to remove the freshly squeezed juice.
If you want to juice more ingredients, you can add them during the process through the lid opening or open the lid, which will interrupt the juicing process. As soon as the lid is closed again, the Hurom H70-ST continues the juicing process automatically.
Preparation tip: If you like to juice in the morning but don't have much time, simply prepare the ingredients in the evening. Cut them into small pieces, fill them into the filling chamber and store them in the fridge. In the morning, the Hurom H70-ST can juice while you do your morning routine!
The reverse function
The Hurom H70-ST has a reverse function that is activated if the juicing process comes to a standstill due to excessive quantities or pieces of ingredients. To use this function, hold the central function switch in the "REV" position by pressing it downwards. As soon as the switch is released, reverse operation stops.
Cleaning the Hurom H70-ST
The Hurom H70-ST is best cleaned directly after use. Before you remove the entire juice housing from the motor block, close the juice outlet flap to prevent juice residue from dripping onto the worktop or kitchen floor. Now separate the hopper from the pressing chamber, remove the individual parts of the slow juicer and rinse them under running water in the sink. The cleaning brush supplied is helpful for cleaning the screen, the small coils and the pulp outlet. Then leave the parts to dry on a kitchen towel or dry them off. Finally, reassemble the individual parts and place the juice housing on the motor block. Done!
Attention: Please make sure that pomace residue does not block the sink drain during cleaning. Simply insert a drain sieve.
