Smoothie Bowl Recipes

Whether it's fruit smoothie bowls, green smoothie bowls, or nut-grain smoothie bowls – these colorful bowls are a feast for the eyes with their beautiful topping arrangements and a delight with their velvety textures and various flavors. Additionally, smoothie bowls are also a treasure trove of nutrients from fresh fruits and vegetables and a lovely variation to smoothies from a glass. Perfect for breakfast, a post-workout meal, or a healthy snack. Here, we present a small selection of smoothie bowl recipes and share our essential preparation tips.

The Bowl Base: The Perfect Smoothie

The foundation of every great smoothie bowl is, of course, the smoothie itself. For a pleasant creamy base, follow these tips:

  • Use frozen fruit to give your smoothie a thick, ice cream-like consistency.
  • Don’t add too much liquid, so you get a creamy, but not too liquidy smoothie.
  • As a liquid, besides water, homemade nut milk like almond milk, oat milk, or coconut water works well depending on the recipe.
  • If you want your smoothie bowl to be particularly filling, incorporate protein sources such as nut butter.
  • We also recommend using a powerful high-speed blender capable of quickly and efficiently processing even the toughest ingredients like frozen fruits, nuts, or ice cubes into a creamy-fine mixture. This gives your smoothie bowl the perfect texture.

Then combine with the remaining ingredients in a large bowl and spread it out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You can add it to muesli, porridge, or yogurt, or use it to top your smoothie bowl.
  2. Preparation of the Nut-Chocolate Smoothie: Blend all the ingredients using a blender until the mixture is nice, creamy, and uniform. Then divide the nut smoothie into 3-4 bowls and top with a few tablespoons of the homemade granola. Finally, decorate it in a cozy winter-holiday style, for example with cut-out apple stars, pomegranate seeds, or other fruits, along with a bit of nut butter. Enjoy it from the heart!
